Welcome to Madison County High School - Home of the Red Raiders!
I am Dr. Christy Epps and it is my honor and privilege to serve the school and the community as principal at Madison County High School. I am a graduate of the University of Georgia with degrees in Family and Consumer Sciences Education, Educational Administration and Policy, and Educational Leadership. I was a teacher for nine years at Commerce High School where I served as a Family and Consumer Sciences teacher, FCCLA sponsor, and Work-Based Learning Coordinator. I worked for nine years as an administrator in Rome City Schools. I served as Associate Principal for Rome Middle School, Principal at Rome’s Phoenix Learning Center and Virtual Learning Academy, and CTAE Director for the College and Career Academy.
Our PBIS motto is ‘We are MC - We are Motivated and Committed to Character.’ This motto provides us the framework to teach students academic and behavioral expectations. I will be dedicated to supporting all students through the academic, arts and athletic opportunities at Madison County High School. I look forward to working with the school community and celebrating our successes both in and out of the classroom. Go Red Raiders!
