The Madison County Board of Education chose to apply to be a Charter System because it allows the most opportunity for public input and it is the best fit for our community.

Effective July 1, 2012, Dr, John D. Barge, State School Superintendent issued charter status to Madison County School District on behalf of the Georgia Department of Education.
