Madison County Schools

Due to weather conditions and travel safety, the Madison County School System will implement an Independent Learning Day for students and a remote workday for all staff on Wednesday, January 22. All buildings will be closed. If you have any questions, please contact your school’s administrator. Message for January 21, 2025 In the interest of student safety and the strong possibility of inclement weather this afternoon, the Madison County School System will dismiss early. Schools will be released at the following times: 12:30 pm dismissal for the Early Learning Center, Elementary Schools, and Madison County Middle School and 12:45 pm dismissal for Madison County High School. All extracurricular activities and after school programs are cancelled. We will continue to monitor the weather for Wednesday, January 22. If conditions are not safe, an announcement will be made to move to an independent learning day. See link below for full announcement. The Madison County School System will operate on a regular schedule tomorrow--Monday, January 13, 2025.

Due to the inclement weather on Friday, January 10, the Madison County School System will be closed. All extracurricular activities and after school programs are cancelled. Extracurricular activities for Saturday, January 11 are cancelled. Official letter from Superintendent: https://5il.co/34js0

Based on feedback from a community-wide survey, calendar options were created for review by School Governance Teams. Governance Teams have narrowed the options down to two. Please review the two calendar options. Feedback from the community-wide vote will be utilized to make a recommendation to the Madison County Board of Education for final approval of the school calendar. Three schools in the Madison County School System were named 2023-2024 Math Leader Schools by the Georgia Department of Education! Danielsville Elementary (4th and 5th grade growth on the math Milestones), Hull-Sanford Elementary (5th grade growth on the math Milestones), and Madison County Middle School (Algebra achievement and growth on the Algebra End-of-Course test). The Math Leader Awards honor schools that have shown exceptional achievement or growth in the percentage of students scoring at the Proficient Learner level or above in mathematics.
