School Administrators

Meet the Administration

Brian Turner

Dr. Brian Turner

Principal

Welcome to Madison County Middle School. It is an honor and privilege to serve our students, staff, and community as principal of MCMS. Throughout my career, I have served students as a Social Studies teacher, basketball coach, Graduation Coach, Athletic Director, and most recently as an Assistant Principal. My goal is to provide a safe and nurturing learning environment where our students and staff members strive for Excellence in Everything They Do Every Day. We want to challenge our students and open up “doors of opportunity” for them to find their own individual path as they transition to high school and life. I look forward to a great year and serving the students and staff at MCMS. #MustangPride

House 1100 Principal

This is my fifthteenth year in education. I am a Double Dawg from The University of Georgia, and I have worked with middle grades students for 14 years. For 8 years, I taught eighth grade social studies in Jackson County. I also taught social studies and served as instructional coach at Foothills Charter Education High School for 5 years. During this time, I instructed preservice and in-service middle school teachers for UGA. I joined the Madison County school system in 2023 as Literacy Specialist at Madison County High School, where I received the warmest welcome. This will be my first year as the Assistant Principal for House 1100 at Madison County Middle School. I am honored to join the Mustang family and look forward to the amazing things we will accomplish together!

Mr. Brent Bird

House 1200 Principal

This is my fifteenth year in education, and I have served all of them in Madison County. This year begins my first year in administration as the House 1200 Assistant Principal. I spent my first ten years at Madison County High School as a co-teacher and physical education teacher. The last four years have been here at Madison County Middle School as a physical education teacher. In addition to teaching, I have coached many different sports here at the middle school and high school. I was born and raised in Madison County and have great pride in our Mustangs and Red Raiders! I am passionate about seeing this place and students develop, grow, and flourish in a safe learning environment! I am excited to be able to give back to this special place that built me and can’t wait to continue growing alongside our students!

Mr. Jeremy Waller

House 1300 Principal

This will be my 22nd year in education and my 4th year serving as an assistant principal at Madison County Middle School. I have spent the majority of my career in a high school setting, teaching everything from AP Language to 9th grade Literature to Algebra while coaching varsity football in different high schools in the area. I am happy to be a part of the Madison County school system. The people and community have been so helpful and look to help out students in so many different ways.  I'm looking forward to another great year at MCMS!
