School Counseling
The Madison County Middle School Guidance and Counseling Program provides a comprehensive, developmental guidance curriculum that is student-focused. The program focuses on social development, decision-making skills, academic achievement, and school success for students. Collaboration with parents, educators, and the community provides students with career and educational opportunities to ensure post-secondary success in a diverse and technological society.
Everything discussed in a counseling session (whether individual, group, or classroom) is confidential. Confidentiality is limited if a student reveals possible harm to himself/herself OR possible harm to someone else. Proper steps will be taken to ensure the safety and well being of all concerned.

How to Talk with the Counselor
If You're a Parent ...
Call the school anytime during 8:00AM - 3:15PM and ask to speak to your child's counselor.
Drop by the school's main office to make an appointment with the counselor.
If You're a Student ...
Complete a "Request for an Appointment" form (available from your teachers) and give it to one of your teachers. Your teacher will make sure your counselor gets the form. Your counselor will send you an appointment as soon as possible.
If you have an emergency, please let your teacher know that you need to see the counselor immediately.
