Any 6th, 7th, or 8th grade student interested in playing basketball this year... there will be an informational meeting regarding basketball tryouts on Tuesday, September 17th at 6:00 pm.

Today, the MCMS Faculty and Staff wore PURPLE to show our Mustang love and support for one of our 6th graders, LIAM DERRACOTT.
He underwent the first of 2 brain surgeries yesterday and will face the riskier surgery on Friday.
Please keep him and his family in your thoughts and prayers!!

As some of you may already know, we lost one of our dear students, Rylee Dowdy, this past Sunday. He was a wonderful young man and we were all so very blessed to know him. He will be very missed!!
SO THIS FRIDAY, we would like to have a Hat and Pajama Day to help raise money for the Dowdy Family. Cost is $5.00 real money.

Our MCMS Mustangs football team played a great game this past Thursday night against Stephens Co. Middle School.
The game didn't end quite the way we had hoped, but it was a great game - even in spite of the Lightning delay!

📖📚 Day 1️⃣9️⃣ of 180 📚📖
Ms. Dickens' 6th Grade ELA classes participated in a "Picture Book Picnic" today in 6th grade ELA!
The "picnic" included a Sentence Scavenger Hunt, using picture books to hunt for different types of sentences. Then, students created book posters (either by drawing or digitally through Canva) in which they highlighted their books, identified the types of sentences they found, and wrote their own book review using a compound-complex sentence!
